Add Comfort To Any Room With The Relaxing Sounds Of A Water Fountain
Do you remember the water fountains we used to drink from in school? Well, that is only one of many water fountains now available, and most are not for drinking. You will find them in homes, offices, atria, back yards, and anywhere else where the trickling or spraying of water can be relaxing and enjoyable. They come in a variety of designs, including rustic, modern, and natural rock. There are water fountains for indoors, outdoors, on table tops, and on walls. They might trickle, mist, spray, or pour; they are associated with relaxation and can give a room a feeling of feng shui.
Choosing a water fountain, for business or residential purposes, will depend on the space you have reserved for it. Depending on the design of your home or office, the water fountain may sit on a table, or hang on a wall, or it may be large enough stand on the floor (this one is more popular for offices than homes). There are also outdoor water fountains that are made to go in a backyard water feature or pond, or a birdbath.
Water falls may be made out of carved concrete, piled stones, bamboo, or, for a contemporary look, glass and brass or chrome. Each has its own nuances and characteristics that set it apart from the others. They come in sizes from very small to much taller than the average man. Choose your space where you would like to place your fountain, and measure that space. If it is a low table, a bowl design, in which the beauty of the fountain is on the top, would be ideal. If you plan to place it on a wall or a higher shelf, the design and fountain should be down the side or front where it is clearly visible.

When choosing a water fountain, be aware of the mist and water drops that may land outside of the fountain. You will want to have something under it if it is placed on a wooden table top. Be sure to keep non-waterproof items a safe distance from your water fountain. Likewise, be sure that the fountain is not in a place where it is splashing the floor and creating a hazard. Outdoor water fountains serve dual purposes. In a manmade pond, the fountain will serve to aerate the water, as well as add a beautiful touch to your yard. Add a colored light under water and in the evening, the fountain will become a completely different piece of décor altogether. Use a small fountain of mist or a trickling stream as a replacement for your bird bath and attract more birds because birds are drawn by running and moving water. There are water fountains that can be added to your swimming pool or outdoor hot tub. Whether indoors or outdoors, there are a myriad of options and ideas for integrating a water fountain into the design of your home. You are sure to enjoy the beauty of the design as well as the relaxing nature of the sounds of falling water. |
